A warning in advance

I’m probably going to use today to catch up on all of the blog entries I should have posted ages ago. However, this may have to spread out over a few days as I begin to remember all of them. This is why I should stop being lazy. I’ll probably also be updating categories/ links etc, so lots of fun stuff to be looking forward to. Maybe.

 

Miley Cyrus in Vanity Fair

I was having a browse on the internet earlier, and discovered this picture:

It is a picture of Miley Cyrus, taken for Vanity Fair. After reading several other blogs, it would appear as though most people think that it is in some way unsuitable, due to her being fifteen years of age. However, I don’t really understand what is so wrong. Okay, so she’s not completely covered up, but she’s not nude, and you can’t see anything. I think it’s about time that people realised that just because skin is showing, it does not make it porn.

 

Celebrations

Happy belated first birthday to this blog, and congratulations to me for managing to keep it going for all this time. It’s a rather impresive record for me.

 

Another day, another time, another place

I finally decided to give into myself and get an account on Live Journal. I will still be using this for most of my blogging needs, but my other blog will now be used to talk about exciting things I have done, rather than just general stuff like this one is. A link to it will be put up soon so you can go and look at the lack of posts.

DOWN WITH CGI

I am going to start off with an apology. I realise that I have not posted a single entry this month. This is partly to do with the fact that I have not had much to talk about, and partly to do with the fact that MY COMPUTER HAS BROKEN AND I AM HAVING TO USE MY NAN’S LAPTOP.Anyway, let’s talk about the title of this entry. I have generally only really accepted CGI films before when they were either a. made as CGI and not based on anything, or b. based on something that was computer-generated in the first place, such as Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children and, to be perfectly honest, I would rather the a-type films were good old-fashioned cartoons instead. So, you can imagine my horror when I discovered that a film of Alvin and the Chipmunks is to be brought out, with, yes, you guessed it, computer-generated chipmunks. I am quite happy to admit that Alvin and the Chipmunks will be added to my list of films not to watch, along with the TMNT film which was also, surprise surprise, computer generated. I want the old days back.

Keeping to the theme of films, yesterday I watched Un Long Dimanche de Fiançailles for the first time, and I was not disappointed. I love Audrey Tautou! I love Jeunet! that is all.

 

OHMYGOSHADECENTBLOGENTRY

I have always found that there is something incredibly comforting about rain, especially when it is accompanied by thunder and lightning. I’m not sure where the logic in that is, but it is just the way I feel. However, the rain at the moment is rather pathetic; if it is going to rain, it may as well be proper heavy showers. I do hope there is a storm soon, and if not, I wish it would become hot and sunny again.

Anyway, moving on swiftly from the weather, which, although it seems like a very British thing to talk about, and I do like British things, I feel as though I should probably talk about something else. I am becoming more and more fond of trees as time goes on, but I do think many trees look best with fewer leaves. Maybe that is why I like Autumn so much; trees losing their leaves combined with possible storms. Bliss!

Gosh, this is the first time I have written what I consider to be a proper blog entry in a very long time. I suppose I haven’t been in much of a writing mood. Maybe I have to be in an unsure mood to be able to write. You see, right now, I am feeling both overjoyed and miserable. How? I just do not know. But it’s true. My mind works in odd ways, but I am sure I am not the only one.

Life is being a very strange thing at the moment. I can’t tell if it is good or bad. So I guess I could say it is mediocre/ average/ nothing special/ boring. Well, cross out the boring, because I HAVE been having a nice time going to the park/ going for coffee/ shopping with friends. But never mind. I never thought I would say this, but I actually want school to start again.

Anyway, I will shut up now, because I am starting to annoy myself. Thanks to anyone who has bothered to read all of this.
